Zaida del Rio is a painter, draftsman, engraver. She appeared on the Cuban visual arts scene in the 70s. She is recognized as one of the key figures in contemporary Cuban art. Zaida's works are exhibited in important galleries around the world and have won many national and international awards. She is one of the most relevant avant-garde plastic creators in Cuba and the public feels her as another example of Cuban identity and identity.
